Welcome to the Clinic
As a courtesy, CHCC will bill your insurance company and any benefits you are to receive for the office visits will be paid to the clinic directly. The parent/guardian will be responsible for the patient's bill if the insurance company doesn't pay in four (4) months. If they pay after four (4) months, one may request a refund. The parent/guardian will be responsible for any remaining amount if the insurance company does not pay in full. If your child’s insurance is not active in two (2) months from their first visit the parent/guardian will accept full financial responsibility. There will be a $30.00 Overdue Balance Fee that will be added once the third statement has been mailed. Patient visits and all of their siblings will be suspended until the entire balance is paid in full.
For appointments other than for a sick child, our clinic schedules ahead. We ask that you notify us if you are unable to keep your appointment so we may give your time slot to someone else. Our clinic has development a late policy to help decrease waiting time and increase our provider availability. You won’t be guaranteed your appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late or have not called to let us know you will be late. If this happens, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Due to the limited number of appointment slots, we review those patients who have missed their appointment without called to notify us. If a patient misses three (3) appointments without calling to reschedule or cancel, you are at risk of being dismissed from the clinic. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled please call our office at 662-329-2955. We ask that you do not e-email the clinic to reschedule your child's appointment due to the risk of us not receiving the e-mail by the appointment time.

Columbus was found in 1821 and was once know as Possum Town by the Native Americans. It is the county seat of Lowndes County and apart of the Golden Triangle which consists of Columbus, Starkville, and West Point. Located in East Central Mississippi on the Alabama line. Columbus is home to many historic homes, Friendship Cemetery, Franklin Academy (the first free school in the state), Mississippi University for Women, and Columbus Air Force Base.
After Hours and Weekends
After hours calls are answered by our very own nurse practitioners. The after hours phone is a message phone. Calls are not answered at the time of the call and is only for medical concerns. These calls should be for urgent conditions that cannot wait until regular office hours. We ask that you please speak clearly and slowly. Non-medical issues such as test results or appointments will need to be taken care of during our regular business hours. If it is an emergency, please go directly to the Emergency Room. During the hours of midnight until 7:00 AM our after hours service is unavailable.

If your child is sick, please call to make a same day appointment. Our same day appointments fill up quickly during the months of October to March, so please call early to guarantee an appointment for the day. Due to sick children needing to seen by a doctor as soon as possible, we do not schedule our sick children for the next day. Please be ready to tell our staff your child's name and date of birth so we may schedule the appointment and prepare the paperwork.
For a provider to lave a patient being examined to answer a phone call would be unfair to the patient being treated. The office staff has been trained to ask the most important questions. We ask that you let them know your problem and a nurse will call you back. When you are expecting a return call, please keep your phone line available. We also ask that you are ready to write instructions, if needed. If you have requested a refill please check with your pharmacy before checking with us. Calls received after 3:00 PM are answered the next business day.
